Aloha at the Hilo Market
“THE TANGLED BEAUTY OF LIFE” is one of many trees on a secluded beach near Hilo in the Big Island of Hawaii. It’s one of those places so replete with visual possibility that you can turn slowly 360 degrees while standing in one place and see myriad image opportunities.
CLE (Cleveland Hopkins International Airport) has chosen these four images for inclusion in the exhibit “Extraordinary Skills”, which will be on view from November 1, 2019 until March 31, 2020. They represent just a few of the photographs made during a two week trip through Utah and Arizona. This portrait is part of a two part series of a couple of chimney sweeps who were working on our fireplace. The exhibition is up until June 13th. It’s free and open to the public.

The eruption of Kilauea on the Big Island blocked this road and buried a large part of Isaac Hale Park, while at the same time creating a new beach. Note lava blocking road at center left of image.
From January 15th through March 11th, 2019, a group of members from the Cleveland Print Room will have a juried works on exhibit at the Trudy Wiesenberger Gallery at University Hospitals .
