“The Mobius Arch” at the Valley Art Center 49th Juried Exhibit

This iconic arch is located near Lone Pine, California. Movie Road is just a few miles outside of town near Mount Whitney. The location has been used for myriad western films and many scenes that appear to have been shot  in the Southwest were actually filmed here. This image was selected by three judges to be part of the 49th Annual Valley Art Center Juried Exhibit in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Cleveland Museum of Art accepts donation of portrait of Viktor Schreckengost for their archives

VIKTOR SCHRECKENGOST, 1994           ©Bill Pappas

This portrait of artist Viktor Schreckengost was done in 1994 as part of a portrait project in which I did images of a wide variety of people using 4×5 inch Polaroid Type 55 P/N film

I spoke with Barbara Tannenbaum, the Curator of Photography at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and she suggested that the Museum’s archives would be interested in having access to the photograph.  Director of Museum Archives Leslie Cade facilitated the donation.
